Le Corbusier began experimenting with furniture design in 1928. He is undoubtedly one of the most famous architects, artists and furniture designers the world has known. Early in his carreer he met resistance, due in part to his revolutionary design ideas.
The LC2 was designed for the 1929 Salon d'Automne, a fine art exposition. It still features in top quality interiors, in the pages of magazines and is included in the design collection of the Museum of Modern Art.
