Egg Chair: Full Italian Aniline Leather

This is a top quality Arne Jacobsen inspired Egg Chair reproduction.

Arne Jacobsen designed the egg chair in 1956 for the the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, as well as many of the other furnishings. It was believed to be the first swiveling upholstered chair. The high back and curves are reminiscent of a traditional wing chair. A tilt mechanism allows for relaxed lounging. Together they cocoon the sitter in a single-piece molded shell that appears to hover over the floor. The Egg Chair is perhaps the single-most recognizable icon of 20th century interior design.
