This is a top quality Barcelona inspired sofa reproduction. It is fully covered with premium full grain Italian leather. The frame consists of premium solid core stainless steel. All the cushions are fully removable as per the original design.

The Barcelona Chair was originally created for the German Pavilion, for Germany's exhibition for the 1929 Barcelona World Fair.
The Barcelona chair's design was inspired by the folding chairs of ancient Roman and Egyptian times. The frame was originally designed to be screwed and bolted together, but was re-designed in 1950's using stainless steel, which allowed the frame to be constructed using a seamless piece of metal, giving it greater strength and a smoother appearance. Cowhide leather replaced pigskin which was used for the original. It has become an icon of modernism and received the honoured Museum of Modern Art Award in 1977.
